THE DEPARTMENT OF THE FAR EAST HELD A CURATORIAL HOUR WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SDG ‘QUALITY EDUCATION’ IN HONOR OF THE REPUBLIC DAY
On October 24, 2024, the advisors of the Department of the Far East at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University conducted a curatorial hour dedicated to Republic Day on the theme "Education and Upbringing - the Key to the Country's Future."
The goal of the event was to strengthen the sense of patriotism among students, to show respect for the history and culture of the country, and to discuss the role of education and upbringing in the development and future of the nation.
During the curatorial hour, students and teachers shared their thoughts on the importance of education in society, issues of upbringing, and the role of youth in Kazakhstan's future. Participants discussed how education and upbringing are integral to the prosperity of the nation, highlighting the impact of patriotic education and the acquisition of quality education on the strategic development of the country.
Throughout the event, students recalled significant historical events on the path to Kazakhstan's independence and development, as well as emphasized the bold steps taken to achieve sovereignty. They also exchanged views on the main challenges in the field of education and upbringing facing modern youth in Kazakhstan.
Participants of the curatorial hour particularly noted that future specialists, especially students of Oriental Studies, would make a significant contribution to strengthening international relations and the economic and cultural development of the country. The event was held at a high level and was beneficial and meaningful for the students.
