Legislative reforms in sports: incentives for the development of professional and mass sports in Kazakhstan
On October 23, 2024, the Center for Intercultural Communication, Department of Diplomatic Translation at the Faculty of International Relations held a round table on the topic "Legislative reforms in sports: incentives for the development of professional and mass sports in Kazakhstan" as part of the message of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The event was organized with first-year students majoring in Translation Studies and aimed to discuss current issues related to legislative initiatives in the field of sports in Kazakhstan.
The students presented the main aspects of the Head of State's message regarding legislative reforms. Key initiatives aimed at improving sports infrastructure, increasing funding, and creating conditions for attracting young people to sports were discussed.
The students of the round table discussed possible incentives for the development of professional sports, such as tax incentives for sports organizations, support programs for athletes and coaches, as well as the importance of developing mass sports as a basis for training professional athletes.
The round table was held in a constructive atmosphere that facilitated an active exchange of opinions and ideas. Students showed interest in the issues discussed and made valuable suggestions for improving legislative initiatives in the field of sports. The event ended with a general conclusion about the importance of joint efforts of all stakeholders for the successful development of sports infrastructure and culture in Kazakhstan.
