KazNU Professor Lectures at a Romanian University

From October 21 to 25, 2024, Professor Almash Smayylkyzy Seidikenova, Ph.D., from the Department of Diplomatic Translation at the Faculty of International Relations at KazNU, delivered lectures as an invited professor at Dunarea University in Galati, Romania, under the Erasmus program. She provided information on the internationalization of education in Kazakhstan, issues in translation, and programs designed for foreign students. The master's and undergraduate students showed great interest in the lectures, actively asking questions and exchanging ideas.

Since 2019, Professor Seidikenova has established connections with this university and Professor Alina Ganea, sending students and master's students to study abroad. Translation master's students Abirova A. (in 2020) and Omirzak Diana (in 2022) studied at Galati University for one semester through the Erasmus program. During her visit, Professor Seidikenova met with the international cooperation department, faculty members, and Vice-Rector for International Relations Arthur-Viorel Tuluș. The meeting covered strengthening mutual cooperation, academic exchanges, and implementing dual-degree programs. Vice-Rector Tuluș expressed interest in sending a Galati University delegation to Kazakhstan in the near future. We are confident that mutual cooperation will open new directions for collaboration.
