On October 1, 2024, within the framework of SDG 1 "No Poverty," Senior Lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, PhD Dr. Yerezhepkyzy Roza, together with students of the Faculty of Law, completed a series of events as part of the social project "Accessible Food on Campus"! The goal of the project is to make food on campus accessible, high-quality, and healthy for everyone. Two important activities were successfully carried out together.
A study of students' needs was conducted. We organized surveys among students to identify their preferences and needs regarding food. This gave us a clear understanding of which dishes are popular and what needs to be improved in terms of food accessibility on campus. We now have specific data that will help make food more convenient and diverse for everyone.
An analysis of legislation was conducted. Law students carried out an in-depth analysis of the legislative acts regulating food in educational institutions. They studied the existing norms, found opportunities for their practical implementation, and proposed changes to improve the quality and accessibility of food at our university.
These steps provide a strong foundation for further work on the project. We thank all the students for their active participation! There are still many interesting and useful initiatives ahead.
