Оn October 16, 2024, the draft law “On the Digital Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was discussed in the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan Smyshlyaeva E. V., Shapak U., Rau A.P. and representatives of non-governmental organizations, experts in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence took part in the discussion of the bill.
The meetings were also attended by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madiev Jaslan Khasenovich.
As a scientific expert, representatives of the scientific sphere, Candidate of Law, Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Faculty of Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Aigarinov G.T. Aigarinov G.T. were also invited to discuss this draftlaw. Currently, Aigarinov G.T. is the chief researcher of the PCF of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Academy of Sciences "Kazakh society in the context of digital transformation BR21882302: prospects and risks".
Within the framework of this project, issues of legal regulation of digital relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered, namely: digitalization of society, protection of personal data, cybersecurity, marketplaces, electronic trading, digitalization of the medical sphere, modern regulation of labor relations, legal issues of the use of artificial intelligence in the field of environmental protection.
The adopted draft of the Digital Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an important step towards a modern solution to the problems of our state within the framework of the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
