Visit of professors from Germany

On September 30, 2024, professors from Germany Prof. Nativadad Martinez Madrid (Reutlingen University) and Prof. Dr. Rer. nat. Ralf E.D. Seepold (Hochschule Konstanz) visited the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare of Al-Farabi KazNU. The professors met with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare Sundetgali Kalmakhanov and the Head of the Department of Health Policy and Organization Gulnara Kapanova. During the meeting, issues of IT development in medicine, the possibility of developing joint programs in the field of computer science in healthcare at the master's and doctoral levels, conducting joint research and participation in international projects, as well as prospects for further cooperation between universities were discussed.

On October 1, 2024, colleagues from Germany delivered a lecture named "AI in Healthcare and Medicine" for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare and the Faculty of Information Technologies. The professors spoke about Germany’s experience in implementing artificial intelligence for collecting, processing and visualizing big data, and the use of computer technologies in clinical practice. During the lecture, the audience asked questions of interest and exchanged experiences. Then the professors discussed the possibilities of implementing joint projects with the head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Madina Mansurova.
