The staff of the Department of Surgery held an open house in the village of Bakanas

As part of the Republic Day celebrations, which symbolize peace and harmony among the people of Kazakhstan, the Department of Surgery at Al-Farabi KazNU organized an open house in the village of Bakhanas, Almaty region. This event aimed at detecting cancerous diseases was supported by the "Bolashak" program.

Specialists, including an ophthalmologist and an oncologist, screened over 40 local residents, providing consultations and answering their questions. A key part of the initiative was a campaign under the slogan "Cancer Can Also Be Prevented," aimed at encouraging individuals to take care of their health and be proactive about cancer screening.
