ISSUES OF CONTINUOUS WORK TO IMPROVE THE INVESTMENT CLIMATE WERE DISCUSSED
On October 29, 2024, a meeting was held in dormitory No. 18 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic “Analysis and Discussion of Continuous Work to Improve the Investment Climate and Business Conditions,” based on the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, “A Just Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism.” The event was organized by the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law within the framework of SDG No. 8.
In his speech, Associate Professor Kalymbek Bakytzhan highlighted key aspects of improving the business and investment climate in Kazakhstan, including attracting foreign investment, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and introducing innovations for sustainable economic growth. Sagynaev M. E., E.S. Kuandykova also contributed important comments, emphasizing the importance of establishing a legal framework to protect investments and simplify business procedures.
The discussion also touched on the role of education and workforce qualifications in supporting innovative initiatives. Participants agreed that investing in human capital development and training specialists for new economic sectors is critically important for ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness on the international stage.
At the end of the meeting, recommendations were proposed for further steps to improve the investment climate. This can help Kazakhstan achieve its economic goals and improve the standard of living for its citizens.
