On October 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., as part of the implementation of SDG No. 10 "Reducing inequality", teachers of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a forum "Equality begins with us" in the 105 gymnasium named after al-Farabi.Oraza Zhandosova with the participation of students, 11th grade students, representatives of local authorities, social policy experts and teachers to discuss various aspects of inequality (economic, gender, social). Topics for discussion included gender equality, combating discrimination, opportunities for children with special needs, and creating a safe learning space for all. At the end of the forum, a resolution was developed that included proposals and concrete steps to improve the culture of equality and inclusion in schools. Among them: conducting regular trainings for students and teachers, organizing round tables on topical social topics and implementing anti-discrimination initiatives. The forum "Equality begins with us" contributed to the development of mutual understanding and respect among students, students and teachers. It was agreed that equality is not only an abstract concept, but also a real part of the educational culture that requires constant attention and effort. The Forum became a significant event that showed that equality begins with each of us.
