International conference to the 95th anniversary of Professor K.A. Abzhanov was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

October 31, 2024 Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Doctor of Law, Professor Koben Abzhanov, on the theme ‘Improvement of the employment contract and contract in the conditions of reforming and digitalisation of labour legislation in the EAEU countries’. The event was organised by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labour Law of the Faculty of Law of KazNU.
The conference participants discussed current problems of labour legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the development of social partnership, improvement of the system of collective bargaining regulation, as well as the institutions of the employment contract and the contract, taking into account the experience of the Eurasian Economic Union countries. Among the participants were Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, representatives of government agencies and faculty of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi KazNU.
The conference has become an important platform for the exchange of scientific ideas and practical approaches to improving labor legislation within framework SGD-17. The teaching staff of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law took an active part in discussing modern challenges in the field of labor relations and made proposals for the further development of labor contracts in the context of digitalization.
