The Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism organized an excursion for participants of the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024

On November 2, 2024, the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an excursion trip for participants of the Pre-Summit event of the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024. As part of the excursion, the guests visited the famous sights of Almaty - Kok-Tobe and the high-mountain skating rink Medeo.

The excursion provided the participants with the opportunity to get acquainted with the natural beauty and tourist attractions of the region. At Kok-Tobe, the guests enjoyed a panoramic view of Almaty, learned about the cultural and historical features of the area. Medeo impressed the participants with its scale and unique natural conditions. The department staff acted as guides, telling in detail about the importance of these places for tourism and the ecology of the region.

The event became an important part of the Pre-Summit program, aimed at strengthening international ties and promoting the university in the global educational arena. The excursion also facilitated the exchange of experience between representatives of various countries and educational institutions participating in the summit.
