Within the framework of implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goal #16 "Peace, justice and strong institutions", Associate Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminology O.N. Tilepbergenov and members of the "Eltutka" club organized a discussion on the topic "Fighting Corruption in Global Experience," where the importance of the experience of countries around the world in combating corruption was discussed.

The formation of a culture of intolerance to corruption is one of the most important elements of the anti-corruption strategy of developed countries. In European countries such as Sweden and the UK, citizens' access to information, a high level of legal culture, and adherence to ethical norms by the population are the key to state stability and prosperity.

Studying foreign experience in shaping the legal awareness of citizens in the fight against corruption is one of the key ways to obtain information about what tools, methods, and in what forms can create conditions of intolerance to corruption and reduce the level of corruption crimes. Familiarity and consideration of the practices of foreign states allows to avoid mistakes and contradictions in anti-corruption work, as well as to choose the right approaches in the anti-corruption strategy.
