On October 30, as part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” campaign and in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — “Clean Water and Sanitation” and “Good Health and Well-being” — an environmental day called “Clean Route” was organized with the participation of hydrology students led by senior lecturer Almat Yerdesbay. The purpose of the event was to enhance students’ environmental awareness and foster responsible attitudes toward nature.
Students cleaned the Terrenkur along the Kishi Almaty River, removing plastic bottles, bags, and other waste, and depositing it in recycling machines. Participants also engaged in physical exercises outdoors, making the day both beneficial and enjoyable. At the end of the route, they visited the Medeu Dam.
The “Clean Route” environmental day demonstrated the commitment of youth to caring for nature and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
