SDG-4. The spiritual legacy of T. Zhurgenov
By the decision of the International Organization TURKSOY, 2023 was declared the "Year of Zhurgenov" in the Turkic world.
The UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communications organized an international scientific and practical conference "The spiritual heritage of T. Zhurgenov and the goals of sustainable development of education", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding statesman and public figure, publicist Temirbek Zhurgenov, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Jamila Aitzhanova, who spoke at the meeting, noted the activities of Temirbek Zhurgenov in 1929-1937, jubilee inaugural events dedicated to Zhurgenov in Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the republic since the beginning of the year. In conclusion, the Vice-Rector said: "For the younger youth taking part in this meeting, it is our duty to inaugurate such great personalities as Zhurgenov." Associate Professor of the UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communication, jurgen scholar Bauyrzhan Imangaliev made a report on the topic "Literary and journalistic heritage of T. Zhurgenov", noting that the Commissioner of Public Education first began his career in journalism, and in 1918 became the executive secretary of the newspaper "Kazakh Muny".
The work of the conference continued in the panel section. It was attended by Russian scientist Alexander Pronin, associate professor of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov Aigul Sadykova, head of the Department of Journalism of the E. Buketov KarSU, Associate Professor Zhanar Ramazanova, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Abai Duisenbayev, associate professor of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University Almazhan Utegalieva, Zh. head of the Department of the Faculty of Journalism of the Kyrgyz National University them Balasaguni Begayim Maksutova, senior lecturers of the UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communications Begzhan Ashirbayev and Zhylbek Kerimbek made informative reports on the legacy of the outstanding statesman and public figure T. Zhurgenov, who immeasurably served the development of education, enlightenment, culture, literature and art in Central Asia.
Thus, the informative reports of jurgenologists, qualified scientists on the legacy of Temirbek Zhurgenov, a highly rational man with a high spirit, who gave out the core of Kazakh art, reflected the moral life and work of a public figure and provided the conference participants with a lot of information.
