SDG-4. "Shalhar" radio son excursion

For sustainable development purposes, the UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication, Candidate of Philological Sciences Mukasheva ManshukTynyshkalievna, organized an introductory tour for students of Al-Farabi KazNU to the «Shalkar» radio. The station’s director, renowed journalist, publicist, and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences BolatbekTolepbergen, introduced the students to «Shalkar»radio’s history, programs, future plans, and the work of the «Golden Fund».

Future journalists learned about the life of the only one radio that broadcasts only in Kazakh language. «Shalkar» radio station began operating on January 1, 1966, and currently airs 18 hours a day.

Bolatbek Tolepbergen, the director of «Shalkar», presented his book «National media – national security».
