Al-Farabi KazNU Students Successfully Complete Internship in Turkish Hotels
Students of the "6B11101 - Tourism" and "6B11103 – R&HB" educational programs from the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University successfully completed an academic internship at Antalya Bilim University from May 13 to November 10, 2024. During the program, they not only deepened their knowledge in tourism and hospitality but also gained valuable professional skills working in Turkish hotels, which was certified by special certificates.
This internship became an important part of the educational program aimed at training highly qualified specialists capable of working at an international level. The program allows students to develop practical skills and familiarize themselves with advanced standards of the tourism industry, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG #4 "Quality Education" and SDG #8 "Decent Work and Economic Growth." The knowledge and experience gained will help students contribute to the sustainable development of tourism, improve its quality, and strengthen international cooperation in this field.
Faculty members noted that such programs not only broaden students' perspectives but also motivate them to implement innovative approaches in domestic tourism, which, in the long term, will contribute to sustainable development and enhance Kazakhstan's competitiveness on the international stage.
