Introduction of an invasive species - Western thuja in the town of KazNU

On November 11, 2024 at 09:30 within the framework of SDG 15 "Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems" in the direction of forming a system of public events aimed at ensuring harmonious interaction between nature and society based on the effective use of natural resources, conservation, improvement of natural resources and for the introduction of invasive species on the territory of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi planted a special drought-resistant western thuja provided by the Southern Nursery of the Botanical Garden.
The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, PhD, Professor Kurmanbayeva M.S., PhD, Professor of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Tynybekov B. M., Head of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources PhD, Associate Professor Nurmakhanova A.S., PhD, Acting Professor Mamurova A.T., PhD., acting associate professor Childibaeva A.J. and young scientists, doctoral students of the educational program of the department "8D05108-Geobotany". The event is one of the works on landscaping of the KazNU town.
