Within the framework of the SDG "Partnership for Sustainable Development", a meeting with an Iranian scientist was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies
On November 14, a meeting took place at the Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies in the Iranian Studies division with Seyed Ali Mujani, a senior research fellow at the Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Students also attended the meeting. The Iranian scholar met first-year students and wished them success in learning the Persian language. He advised students of the "Translation Studies" program to continue practicing by translating short stories from Persian to Kazakh. On November 13, Mr. Seyed Ali Mujani participated in and presented a report at the international scientific-practical conference "Derbisali Readings," dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the 35th anniversary of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. On the same day, Mr. Mujani also held meetings with the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, N. B. Yem, the head of the "Turan-Iran" research center, I. Zhemeney, and the head of the "Written Heritage and Spiritual Legacy" research center, Z. Shadkam.
