The Issue of Climate Change Discussed in the Sustainable Development Alley
On November 13, 2024, Senior Lecturer, PhD Doctor Rasheva G.K. held an event with 3rd-year students of the "Cadastre and Land Management" program at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management in the Sustainable Development Goals Alley.
During the meeting, current issues in the field of climate legal protection were discussed, and attention was drawn to SDG-13 "Taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts."
Dr. Rasheva emphasized the important role of legislative frameworks and the development of environmental law in combating climate change. She provided information on international and national legal acts, agreements, and political initiatives being adopted to address climate change.
At the conclusion of the event, students were encouraged to adopt a qualified and integrated approach to climate change adaptation and mitigation, combining legal and ecological perspectives. Additionally, they were called upon to actively engage with these issues in their future professional careers.
