Future Orientalists on the Importance of Education: An Event in Support of the Sustainable Development Goal "Quality Education"

One of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is quality education. On November 14, 2024, 2nd and 3rd year students studying under the educational program "Oriental Studies" of KazNU under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia A. K. Akhmetbekova and senior lecturer A. B. Zhiekbayeva organized an event called " The world is light for the educated!". At the event, the presentation "Quality Education" prepared by A. Kemelkhan and A. Aitbay caused a lively discussion. Future Orientalists analyzed the factors contributing to obtaining high-quality education. In the presentation prepared by L. Kabyken, S. Dzhumadilayeva, I. Zhumabekkyzy, issues related to education in the countries of the East were considered, achievements in education in Kazakhstan were noted, and the importance of education in the era of artificial intelligence was emphasized. The students were active in the exchange of opinions. Zhumazhanova F. T., Deputy head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, who participated in the event, noted the activity of students. In her closing remarks, she noted that countries that focus on quality education have a great future.
