Within the Framework of the SDG Project's "Partnerships for Sustainable Development," Faculty and Students in Iranian Studies Attended a Meeting of Iranologists

On November 15, within the framework of the SDG project's "Partnerships for Sustainable Development," faculty members and students from the Iranian studies section of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia participated in a meeting of Iranologists held at the Cultural Center of the Iranian Consulate General in Almaty. The meeting discussed the establishment of an Iranologists' community. The Consul General of Iran in Almaty, Mr. Mohsen Faghani, delivered a speech and pledged comprehensive support to the newly formed community. The community aims to work in three areas. The first is teaching the Persian language and fostering interest in it. The second is conducting scientific research. The third is translation work and training translators. Additionally, the community plans to establish strong ties with Iranian universities, organize joint scientific projects, conferences, and competitions, and conduct lectures introducing Iran and Kazakhstan.
