On November 15, 2024, at 12:00 PM, an open lesson was conducted for 4th-year students of the "Geodesy and Cartography" program, The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences in line with the 9th Sustainable Development Goal (Industrialization, Innovation, Infrastructure). The lesson covered the main types of cartographic enterprises and the depreciation of fixed assets in production. During the session, the importance of cartography and its role in modern enterprises was discussed. The characteristics of each sector, the technologies used, and modern trends in cartography were examined.
Special attention was given to the issue of depreciation of fixed assets in production. The lesson provided a detailed explanation of the significance of depreciation for production, its impact on the financial condition of the enterprise, and the methods for calculating it. Emphasizing the importance of this topic, practical examples were provided for deeper understanding.
At the end of the lesson, students were asked questions on the topic, and a discussion was organized. All students demonstrated a good understanding of the material, and their opinions and suggestions enhanced the quality of the lesson. The methods used and interactive tasks contributed to increasing students' interest and demonstrated the high effectiveness of the teaching process.
