An international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the university and the Day of National Currency - tenge was held in Al-Farabi KazNU.
The event was attended by students and young scientists from Kazakhstan and CIS countries, who discussed the topic: “Development of financial literacy and inclusion: experience, prospects, challenges”.
At the plenary session, Azat Omarov, Deputy Head of the Department of State Revenue for Almaty, who disclosed the topic of the current state of the tax system, made a speech. Director of the Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on budget crediting, the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan and interaction with the financial sector Kairat Miyatov in his speech focused on the role of the National Fund as a factor of sustainability of the system of economic management of Kazakhstan. Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “IC Centras Insurance” Erzhan Undybayev spoke about the activities of the modern insurance sector of Kazakhstan. Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Problem Loans Fund” Nurzhan Baigaziev noted the role of the state in the recovery of the financial system of Kazakhstan. Professor of Darussalam Gontor University (Indonesia) Ahmad Afandi Mahfudz shared the experience of international financial integration.
The sectional part of the conference covered the discussion of key issues and practices, such as the development of financial technologies and cashless payments in Kazakhstan, the impact of digitalization on the economy and its trends, sustainable development of Kazakhstan in modern conditions, as well as the problems and prospects of digitalization of the tax system, securities market and other industries.
The participants presented their scientific research and shared their experience. Special attention was paid to the importance of financial literacy for the development of Kazakhstan's economy. Proposals were made to improve financial inclusion and development of modern educational programs.
As a result of the conference, it is expected to become a platform for building a dialog aimed at strengthening scientific cooperation and exchange of experience between employers, scientists and students, forming new ideas, as well as identifying optimal solutions aimed at further improving financial literacy and sustainability of the country's citizens.
The conference is organized by the Department of Finance and Accounting of the Higher School of Economics and Business.
