"Implementation of environmental initiatives"

The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized and held the conference "Implementation of Environmental Initiatives in Universities: Successful Experience and Development."

The conference was initiated as part of the international project for higher education institutions, "Climate Perspective." It was held with the support of the Public Foundation for Sustainable Development Solutions "Karagach," the Interregional Ecological Public Organization "EKA," and the NGO "Eurasia."

The goal of the event was to organize systematic environmental awareness activities in universities across Kazakhstan.

The conference featured experts interested in the environmental agenda, including students and faculty, as well as Russian representatives from the Interregional Ecological Public Organization "EKA."

The event was attended by the leadership of KazNU, prominent scientists, NGO representatives, and students.

The conference also featured speeches by: the Executive Director of the Youth Initiatives Support Foundation "ERA," the Director of the "EKA" movement, E.S. Gorokhova; the head of the Karagach Public Foundation, Senior Lecturer at the International University of Astana, A. Karabalaeva; Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, G. Dlimbetova; Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Natural Science Pedagogy at SDU University, PhD Zh. Abilbek, and others.

Conference participants exchanged practices in environmental education and the greening of universities. During the event, a memorandum was signed for the inclusion of active universities into the International Association of "Green" Universities.
