Guest Lecture: "Modern Technologies in Research Activities: Artificial Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Sustainable Development Goals"
On November 26, 2024, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a guest lecture for master's and doctoral students. The lecture focused on modern approaches to research activities. The speaker of the event was Bauyrzhan Zholdybayev, Ph.D. in Automation and Control, and Chief Business Process Development Manager at Kazteleport JSC. The lecture highlighted the search and analysis of materials for academic papers, the visualization of research data and graphs, and opportunities for international internships for young scholars. Bauyrzhan Zholdybayev shared his experience using advanced technologies and tools such as R Studio and Python to process data and conduct complex studies. He paid particular attention to the application of artificial intelligence in research, including extensive data analysis, forecasting, and result visualization.
The speaker also emphasized the importance of modern technologies in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): Artificial intelligence tools and automated data analysis improve the quality of educational research by identifying barriers and developing solutions to overcome them.
- SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): Data analysis technologies help assess economic activity and working conditions, contributing to the development of recommendations to enhance employment and sustainable economic growth.
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): Software tools like R Studio and Python demonstrate the potential of innovations for analyzing and supporting infrastructure projects.
- SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): Data analysis methods deepen understanding of factors influencing social and economic inequality and aid in developing effective measures to reduce it.
The lecture became a vital platform for young researchers, offering practical advice and showcasing the potential of technologies in addressing the pressing challenges of science and sustainable development.
