“Developing awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship among students”

In order to sustainably develop “Quality Education”, on November 12, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health held a roundtable discussion on “Developing environmental stewardship among students” for 2nd-4th year students of Public Health major. Student of the 4th year of specialty “Public Health” Zhaksylyk Adelia made a report on the 7th issue of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev “Fair State. United nation. Prosperous society” - ”Improvement of ecological situation is one of the main tasks facing us. We must widely publicize the importance of environmental protection in society. Students should start with themselves: protect the environment, keep clean, save electricity and water, eat right, and regularly conduct awareness-raising work among the population. To reinforce the material, a feedback in the form of a game with questions and answers was organized. At the end of the round table, Director of the School of Public Health Daniyarova A.B. shared her opinion on the issue and positively evaluated the event. Senior curator, organizer of the faculty event Arynova G.A. summarized the event on the topic “Development of environmental stewardship among students” and thanked the participants. The students expressed their satisfaction that their knowledge about environmental stewardship was supplemented and noted that environmental protection will become one of the main priorities.
