On November 19, the third-year students majoring in “Literary Studies” participated in the meeting with literary scholar, critic, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Professor Dandai Yskakuly. The event was organized by the senior lecturers of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, Gulzhan Bolatova and Shokhan Shortanbay within the framework of SDG 4: “Quality Education.” Dandai Yskakuly holds a special place in Kazakh literary science, particularly in the history of literary criticism. He has studied the development of Kazakh literature, theoretical aspects of literary criticism, and its formation stages. His works have significantly contributed to establishing the scientific foundation of literary criticism. The scholar, the author of over 30 research works, books, and monographs, shared his current thoughts and topics of interest. During the meeting, Dandai Yskakuly discussed national spirituality, the country’s culture, and the future of literature in the context of globalization. He shared his experiences and emphasized his high hopes for the younger generation. The scholar noted the significant responsibility that rests on the shoulders of future literary scholars.
