November 26 students of the 3rd year of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental sciences under the guidance of curator Akmaral Sapieva held an open lesson on the topic “The Role of Women in Tourism”. During the lesson, they discussed the successful activities and creative potential of women today in the field of Tourism, and highly appreciated their role in this field.
This lesson taught not only education, but also the importance of increasing the equality and opportunities of women in society. As the tourism industry develops and the trend towards globalization intensifies, the contribution of women to public life is increasing. They contribute not only to the development of tourist destinations, but also to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of culture, ecology, education and local communities. This event is in line with the fourth and fifth Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN.
