The Chairman of the Board and Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuymebayev, held a meeting with the rectors of universities and leaders of companies who arrived to participate in the 12th International Berezhmanov Chemistry and Chemical Technology Congress. During the discussion, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education.
First, the rector of the university received the head of the international department of the Higher National School of Chemistry De Rennes in France, Sylvain Giraudet . At the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev informed the guest of honor about the achievements of KazNU, noting that the university is establishing cooperation with leading universities in France. In turn, Sylvain Giraudet expressed gratitude to the head and staff of the university for their attention and hospitality.
Sylvain Giraudet said: "Thank you for the invitation to the XII International Beremzhanov Congress. Today, France and Kazakhstan closely cooperate in various industries. Many students from French universities come to study at the KazNU. I also urge the youth of KazNU to take an internship in France".
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on joint activities in the field of education and science, including on expanding academic mobility opportunities for professors and students.
KazNU Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev held talks with Director General of Xinjiang Guangyang Oil and Gas Technology Development Company Zou Chunyan. At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of enhancing partnership and made a number of proposals.
Zou Chongyan provided information about the company and its main purpose.
The company's CEO said: "The Xinjiang Guangya Company for the Development of Oil and Gas Technologies was opened with the support of the Eastern Southern Petroleum University. The company has 2 scientific laboratories. The purpose of the opening is to apply innovative student projects in the oil industry and solve urgent problems in this area".
In turn, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that KazNU is interested in expanding partnerships with Xinjiang Guangya Oil and Gas Company in the field of IT, physics and chemistry.
The rector of KazNU also met with the rector of Sumgait State University, Rufat Azizov. The heads of the two universities agreed to intensify work on the exchange of professors and students under the academic mobility program. Zhanseit Tuimebayev thanked Rufat Azizov for a working visit to participate in the XII International Beremzhanov Congress.
The parties also discussed the issues of training scientific personnel, the development of joint two-degree educational programs and the organization of joint scientific conferences.
