2 december, 2024

On December 2, 2024, in auditorium 214, the curators-advisers of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Zhussupova A.I., Chunetova Zh.Zh. and students of the educational program "6B05105-Genetics" held an open curatorial hour "Seminar on explaining to students the harm of various bad habits (smoking, alcohol, drugs)".

During the curatorial hour, the harm of various bad habits (smoking, alcohol, drugs) was discussed and brought to the students' attention, along with measures for their minimization and prevention.

The scientific and educational policy of Al-Farabi KazNU supports a healthy lifestyle of students, which contributes to the manifestation of their best features, as well as active scientific and educational activities.

One of the most common addictions is tobacco smoking, which gradually causes strong physical and mental dependence. However, in recent years, in addition to traditional cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars and hookahs, electronic cigarettes have become increasingly common. An even more harmful habit is alcohol consumption. Unfortunately, in life, both bad habits – tobacco smoking and alcohol abuse – are often combined with each other. Drug addiction and toxicomania develop very quickly, growing out of a short-term habit of using substances that alter consciousness. After all, even "soft" drugs are addictive and have a detrimental effect not only on the physical, but also on the mental health of young people. The impact of bad habits on human health is obvious, but there are no cures for specific addictions. Therefore, we are for a healthy lifestyle!
