Online Lecture by Professor from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies

On December 3, 2024, the Department of Far East Studies at Al-Farabi KazNU hosted an online lecture by Professor Dulat Bakishev from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, titled «Strategic Partnership between Kazakhstan and South Korea: Geopolitics and Development».

The lecture covered key aspects of South Korea's geopolitical strategy, including its interactions with the United States, China, and North Korea, as well as Kazakhstan's role in the «New Northern Political Course».

A question and answer session followed the lecture, during which students actively engaged with the professor on topics related to strategic cooperation between South Korea and Kazakhstan, geopolitics, and the development of bilateral relations. Inspired by the professor’s extensive experience and high-ranking positions in the diplomatic sphere, students also asked questions related to this field.

The lecture sparked great interest among students and fostered an in-depth discussion of important geopolitical issues.
