KazNU students will have the opportunity to complete an internship in Spanish companies

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Spanish Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Luis Francisco Martinez.
During the discussion, the parties addressed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of education and science.
The university's leader, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, introduced the esteemed guest to the university's achievements and shared its future plans. In his remarks, the Rector emphasized that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is keen on further expanding and strengthening partnerships with Spanish universities.
Also during the meeting, Zhanseit Kanseituly voiced a number of proposals, including: training specialists in the field of IT and economics for Spanish companies and holdings operating in Kazakhstan, the implementation of scientific projects jointly with universities in Spain.
In turn, Spanish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Luis Francisco Martinez noted that he supports the initiatives of the Rector of KazNU and intends to work closely with the higher education institution in the future.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is one of the leading universities in Central Asia. Last year, Spanish universities visited Kazakhstan to expand cooperation with Kazakh institutions. Now, a visit by representatives of Kazakh universities to Spain is being planned. We also invite you to participate in this large-scale event. Recently, I met with leaders of Spanish companies operating in Kazakhstan. They have expressed interest in implementing a special scientific and educational program in collaboration with KazNU. As part of this program, which is set to launch in June 2025, 30 KazNU students will have the opportunity to study and intern at Spanish companies", - the ambassador said.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to systematically implement the above proposals.
