International Exchange of Experience in Teaching Chinese: Practices, Methodologies, and Prospects within the Belt and Road Initiative

On December 10, 2024, a second-year Ph.D student from East China Normal University (Shanghai), specializing in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, attended Dr. Saparbayeva N. B. classes at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the visit, she gained valuable experience in Chinese language teaching methodologies and proposed conducting joint research in the field of teaching Chinese for translation studies programs. The research aims to explore modern teaching methods, adapt the educational process to the market demands, and train more qualified specialists needed by Chinese and Kazakhstani enterprises within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
