"Subject Olympiad in Economic Theory"

In accordance with the goals of SDG 4: "Quality Education" and SDG 8: "Decent work and economic growth" on December 7, 2024, the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business organized a subject Olympiad on "Economic Theory" among students of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al KazNU as part of the course "Economic Theory"- Farabi.

The Olympiad on "Economic Theory" was attended by students of the 1st year of specialties: "Economics", "Digital Economy", "Accounting and Auditing", "Finance", "GiMU", "Management", "Marketing" and "Logistics". The competition was held in five stages. The participants of the competition presented projects on economic topics such as the development of a market economy, reducing inflation and unemployment, solving the problem of economic diversification, and sustainable economic growth. According to the results of the competition, the winners and nominees were determined and rewarded.

The competition was very interesting, and the students had the opportunity to evaluate their knowledge of Economic Theory. In addition, the students showed their creative abilities – a small concert program was presented to the guests. The main advantage and importance of such competitions is the stimulation of student interaction between groups and the development of students' self-management skills and the deep formation of learning outcomes in the subject.
