On the topic "Religion and Media in Modern Times: Opportunities and Development Prospects"

On December 11, 2024 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU University, a discussion was held on the topic "Religion and Media in Modern Times: Opportunities and Development Prospects" within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 - Quality of Education. This event was aimed at discussing current topical issues of religious studies and identifying new opportunities and development directions in this area. The discussion, in particular, considered the importance of the relationship between religion and the media and the impact of this relationship on modern information technologies and globalization processes. The participants of the event exchanged views on the role of religion in society, modern approaches to its interpretation, as well as the opportunities of the mass media in spreading religion. This discussion, organized under the leadership of senior lecturer Dinara Utebayeva, allowed students to develop scientific views, think critically, and discuss contemporary issues. At the end of the event, the participants discussed specific proposals and ideas aimed at achieving positive changes in society through the joint influence of religion and the media.
