On December 14, 2023, the lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages A. Shayahmet and A. Otetileuova held an interactive event on the topic: “Kazakhstan: Facts and Figures” dedicated to Independence Day. The students from the State University of Para, Brazil (Universidade do Estado do Pará, UEPA), Sungkyunkwan University of South Korea (SKKU or Seongdae), Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania (Kaunas University of Technology KTU), Afghanistan and Pakistan participated in this English-speaking event. Our first-year students of the Oriental Studies Faculty presented their posters, presentations and skits, solved a crossword puzzle, conducted interviews, danced, sang and played musical instruments to develop their skills in English. The event was organized in accordance with the task set by the head of state for Kazakhstan's universities during the third Kuryltai Congress on "Integrating National Values in Working with Student Youth."
