On December 14, 2024, in the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a debate on the topic of gender equality was held. The event was attended by students from the 110th and 106th groups of the Faculty of Law, who demonstrated their knowledge, critical thinking skills, and ability to present arguments. The event was organized under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of “Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law,” Candidate of Legal Sciences, Tursynkulova D.A.

During the debate, participants discussed key aspects of gender equality, including access to education, career opportunities, the social roles of men and women, and stereotypes present in society. The teams supported their positions with concrete examples, scientific research, and global practices.

Special attention was given to how gender equality impacts the development of society, the economy, and culture, as well as its significance in creating a fair future. The debate was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and intellectual engagement.

This event became an important platform for discussing pressing issues and developing students’ social skills. Organizers and participants emphasized the importance of such debates in fostering active and progressive youth.
