Melodies of friendship: a concert of foreign students in Kazakhstan.

In December 2024, the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al Farabi KazNU hosted a concert where foreign students who came to Kazakhstan to study Russian from Korea, Japan and China performed. The concert was a modern cultural exchange, with the participants presenting their national traditions and how they adapt to Kazakhstani culture. The concert was an exciting event reflecting cultural diversity and richness of traditions. Students from different countries studying in Kazakhstan represent a unique blend of East Asian and Central Asian cultures, which is evident in music, dance, and theater performances.  Students had the opportunity to share their achievements, demonstrating their progress in learning Russian and Kazakh languages and their respect for Kazakh culture. Classical and modern songs in Russian and Kazakh were performed at the concert. Such events are gaining momentum as young people from different countries adapt to a new linguistic and cultural environment through music and various forms of art.

 Creative performances by students have become a prerequisite for establishing intercultural ties and developing mutual understanding.  Such a concert promotes intercultural exchange and helps students to integrate into the environment.
