Special address of the President to compatriots

Since last year, the Head of State has started a good tradition. This is an interview with Kazakh-language publications at the beginning of the year. Last year he gave an interview to the newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan“, this year he answered the questions of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper ”Ana tili".
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev comprehensively touched upon many problematic issues of the country. Using concrete consistent examples, it was noted that the country's economy is growing and thriving. He outlined in simple language the essence of the ongoing political reforms that strengthen the foundation of our independence.
It is also important that, thanks to the concept of "A strong President - an Influential Parliament - an Accountable Government," special attention is paid to addressing the social situation of the population.
To the question of what needs to be done to give an even greater impetus to the promotion of the Kazakh language in our society, the President replied as follows: "The attractiveness and competitiveness of the Kazakh language are rapidly increasing. It is gratifying that the Kazakh language is becoming "fashionable" and relevant among young people, its knowledge is becoming an indispensable factor for professional growth and personal success of citizens. Domestic businesses build their marketing campaigns based on the needs and expectations of the Kazakh-speaking consumer. All this clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the State's policy in this very sensitive and politically important area.
By the way, there are more than 7 thousand languages in the world, more than three thousand of which are endangered. The Kazakh language does not belong to this group, in 2024 it took 79th place among the most widely spoken languages of the planet” and emphasized the merits of representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia – writers, journalists, teachers, scientists.
As the President himself noted, this is not just an interview, it is a program interview reminiscent of the special address of the Head of State to the people, who summed up the results of the outgoing year, summarized plans for the New Year and answered topical issues of the country as an expert. This is also valuable. Such an interview is of great importance, in which every citizen of Kazakhstan finds answers to his questions.
