
Gusman Kyrgyzbayev, a graduate of the Faculty of law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, became an Olympic medalist. She achieved the best result in her sports career and won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics by defeating Serbian Strahinha Buncic in judo in 66 kg. Kirghizbayev used to fight in 60 kg. Later, he switched to a weight of 66 kg and received an Olympic medal in this weight category. Gusman defeated South Korean An Wa Ul, a 66 kg judoka, in Paris. Then France crushed the hopeful Walid Khyar. But in the semifinals, the Brazilian lost to William Lima.
Kazakh tatami master Gusman Kyrgyzbaev is a silver medalist of the 2021 World Championship, a bronze medalist of the Asian Championships in 2019 and 2022.
