During the meeting, Stanislav Kankurov, the chairman of the branch, provided detailed information regarding the activities of the organization and its contribution to the socio-political life of both the city and the country. He emphasized that the party’s branch receives approximately 5,000 appeals from citizens annually, indicating the high level of public interest in legal assistance.
Daulet Baydeldinov, Doctor of Law and Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Almaty city branch of the «AMANAT» Party for facilitating the meeting. He further emphasized the readiness of the Student Law Clinic to continue collaborating in the realm of legal consultation for citizens and expressed the potential for conducting research on current legal issues.
In addition to the meeting, representatives from the Student Law Clinic, in collaboration with members of the Almaty city branch of the «AMANAT» Party, organized legal consultations for the residents of Almaty. These consultations provided citizens with essential legal information and guidance. This collaborative effort has become a crucial step in broadening public access to quality legal services and enhancing legal literacy within the community.
The overarching objective of this initiative, aligned with SDG-16, is to strengthen legal institutions and ensure universal access to justice, a goal that corresponds with the activities of the Student Law Clinic and its partnership with the «AMANAT» Party in providing legal advice to citizens. The meeting and the consultations conducted as part of this cooperation contribute to improving citizens' access to legal aid, strengthening the rule of law, and increasing legal literacy. These efforts ultimately support the establishment of robust legal institutions and a more just society.
