Bolashak "500 Scientists" program fellows from the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Acting Professor Margulan Ibraimov and Professor Medeu Erzhanovich Abishev, are actively engaged in scientific groups at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in their respective fields during their research internship. They are also participating in scientific seminars conducted by leading scientists from around the world. To promote their scientific achievements, they met with the Director of the Office of Commercialization and his team.
Several companies in Singapore have been established in collaboration with universities and leading global corporations. BLOCK71 is the center of Singapore's technological startup ecosystem and the world's most densely packed entrepreneurial ecosystem, hosting startups from China, Indonesia, and the USA. Professor M.E. Abishev presented several projects and ideas to the Commercialization Center, and a joint effort has begun to promote these projects internationally, starting with copyright registration and patenting.
In addition, several meetings were held with professors from the National University of Singapore—Ariando and Utkur Mirsaidov. During these meetings, professors from the Faculty of Physics and Technology at KazNU became acquainted with the infrastructure and ongoing research at NUS and discussed opportunities for Kazakhstani young scientists to be admitted to doctoral programs at NUS under their supervision.
These activities are being carried out within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4—Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education—and SDG 17—Strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
