Within the framework of the "Partnership for Sustainable Development" goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a lecturer and a master's student from the Department of Middle East and South Asia are providing translation services at the summit.

Senior lecturer of the Department of Middle East and South Asia, PhD Dr. Gulbakyt Kudaybergenova, and first-year master's student Gauhar Omarhanova are providing translation services for the Iranian delegation, led by the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad-Reza Aref, at the Eurasian Economic Union Prime Ministers' Summit and the "Almaty Digital Forum 2025," held in Almaty on January 30–31.

The granting of observer status to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Eurasian Economic Union in December last year has contributed to the development of bilateral relations in all areas. This is the first time Iran is participating in a high-level event as an observer in the Eurasian Union.

The invitation of a lecturer and a master's student from the Faculty of Oriental Studies to provide translation services at such a significant event demonstrates the high professional training of the faculty's specialists.
