Joint projects with the University of Pennsylvania will be implemented

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, met with Steven Barnes, the Associate Dean for the Law Faculty of Master's and International Programs at Penn State University (Pennsylvania, USA), and Samgat Ermekbaev, the head of the "Profession – Future" project.

During the interview, the colleagues exchanged views on strengthening partnership in the field of higher education and science.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev had previously met with Steven Barnes on October 23, 2023, and proposed opening a joint research center or branch with Penn State University based at KazNU. During the current meeting, the parties agreed to continue working systematically on this initiative and to create a special working group.

In turn, Stephen Barnes thanked the university's management for their attention and expressed support for all initiatives aimed at developing cooperation between the two universities. He also invited KazNU students to study at the University of Pennsylvania.

After the meeting, the honored guests visited the Farabi Hub, where they got acquainted with the results of the work of scientific centers and laboratories.
