The Rector of KazNU took part in a scientific conference in Moscow
The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, participated and delivered a report at the international scientific-practical conference "The Mission of the Modern University in the World in the Context of the Challenges of Transformations in a Multipolar World"
A large-scale event is taking place at the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow.
The conference was attended by: Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Sekirinsky, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation Kunsulu Zakariya, President of RUDN University Vladimir Filippov, Rector of RUDN University Oleg Yastrebov, rectors of universities from Central Asia, international experts, and renowned scholars, with a total of about 800 participants.
The aim of the event, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples, is to collaboratively address pressing issues in the field of higher education and science and strengthen partnership ties.
The conference was opened by Denis Sekirinsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, who emphasized the significant role of universities in the development of science today. In this context, he highlighted that universities preparing specialists in various fields are subject to high demands and bear great responsibility.
At the plenary session, Zhanseit Tuimebayev delivered a report on the topic "The Role of Modern Science and Education Hubs in the Formation of Specialists of a New Formation" and shared the experience of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in this field.
In his speech, the rector also noted that the cooperation between KazNU and Russian universities is growing day by day. As a result, a branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI was opened at the university, and a branch of KazNU was established in Omsk.
The work of the international conference continued within the framework of sections dedicated to various topics.
