SDG-16: Otbasy Bank employees provided students with advice on the «National Fund for Children» program

On February 5, 2025, employees of Otbasy Bank, responsible for the city of Almaty, provided detailed information to the students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, born in 2006-2007, about the «National Fund for Children» project, which was introduced in 2024. This project serves as an important financial support tool for the future of our country, specifically for children and adolescents.
The main goal of the «National Fund for Children» project is to open special savings accounts for children and teenagers under the age of 18, ensuring that a certain amount of funds are deposited from the National Fund every year. These savings will be used in the future to cover children’s education, solve housing issues, provide access to medical services, and meet other important needs.
To provide information about the project, specialists from Otbasy Bank visited our university and paid special attention to students born in 2006-2007. These students will soon turn 18 and will be able to use their savings for tuition fees in paid departments, purchasing housing, or other purposes. The main goal of the project is to offer financial support to students and their families in the future, as well as to help in the effective use of government-allocated funds.
Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies asked questions about their savings and housing opportunities, to which the specialists of Otbasy Bank provided full and accurate answers. Additionally, students who did not have savings accounts were offered the opportunity to open one, and bank employees explained how to start and manage this process. The students highly appreciated the informational and explanatory work and expressed their gratitude.
