"The Evolution of the Cultural Meaning of Sacrifice" within the Sustainable Development Goal – Quality Education

On February 10, 2025, an open lecture on "The Evolution of the Cultural Meaning of Sacrifice" was held in room 314 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies. The session was conducted as part of the course "Anthropological Studies of Myth, Ritual, and Symbols" and was delivered by 1st-year PhD student Oralqul A.S.

During the lecture, various types and categories of sacrificial rituals were examined in detail, along with their anthropological and cultural aspects. Students analyzed the historical, social, and religious significance of these rituals and engaged in meaningful discussions.

The interactive part of the session featured a Kahoot game, allowing participants to test their knowledge. Additionally, they shared their thoughts and took part in a lively debate.

Scientific advisor Omyrbekova A.O. and pedagogical practice supervisor Alikbayeva M.B. highly appreciated the content and organization of the session. This open lecture, organized by the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, provided participants with valuable insights and an opportunity for intellectual exchange.
