SDG-4. The role of photojournalism in society was introduced to the students

        "Journalism Practice in the Context of Sustainable Development." Within the framework of this topic, teachers of the Department of Press and Electronic Media held an open seminar today at the KazNU library. The seminar provided information on the role of photojournalism in society, the organization of individual or group photo expeditions to areas with poor environmental and social conditions in the country, and documentary photography. Examples of publishing photos as photo data on social networks and media pages, as well as drawing attention to them through photo exhibitions were shown. In addition, the public was informed about the activities carried out by the "Photo Art" public association over the past 15 years.

      Asylkhan Abdraim, senior lecturer at the Department of Press and Electronic Media, gave a lecture to students in the classroom of the Global Hub on Sustainability of the UN Academic Impact Program.

    At the seminar, students learned about the ins and outs of photography and the results of a photo expedition.  Not only journalism students, but also young people from other universities came to the discussion.
