Meeting with Professor V.V. Kugunurov (NEFU, Russia) and the Students of the Faculty of Philology

On February 13, 2025,  the students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies at the Faculty of Philology had the opportunity to meet  Professor Vladlen Vasilyevich Kugunurov from M.K. Ammosov  North-Eastern Federal University. Professor Kugunurov is the Director of the Institute of Foreign Philology and Regional Studies and a leading specialist in Germanic languages (German).

The meeting was held in an offline format in German and gathered  the students of the Faculty of Philology. During the event, Professor Kugunurov shared his knowledge, spoke about  the working experience of his Institute and the  University. The participants  also discussed the prospects for academic mobility between our universities, the similarities between our cultures, and the unique climatic conditions of Yakutia.  A main focus was made  was given on  the educational process and academic mobility which promoted an  active students’  participation and a lively discussion.
      The  students had a unique opportunity to ask questions, discuss relevant issues, and receive valuable recommendations. The meeting became an important step in broadening  the students' academic horizons and strengthening scientific ties between our universities.
     The department expressed its gratitude to Professor Kugunurov for his  informative and interesting  lecture as well as to the students for their active participation.
