"Conservation of Biodiversity and Prevention of Its Extinction"

As part of the pedagogical practice and in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG-15), an educational session titled "Conservation of Biodiversity and Prevention of Its Extinction" was held on February 13, 2025.

The event was organized by first-year doctoral students of the «Geobotany» specialty under the guidance of PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Management B.I. Imanbekova and PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources A.S. Nurmakhanova.

The session took place at KazNWTTU, with active participation from doctoral students of KazNU, faculty members, and students. The following key topics were discussed during the event:

• «The Importance of Biodiversity for Humanity»
• «Factors Contributing to Biodiversity Loss»
• «Biodiversity Conservation»
• «Supporting the Interests of Sustainable Development»

These topics sparked a lively discussion among students from both universities, leading to valuable ideas and solutions.At the end of the event, qualified specialists from KazNWTTU – PhD in Biology A.M. Kalekeshov and PhD in Biology, Professor L.E. Anuarova shared modern innovative approaches to biodiversity conservation. Additionally, the organizers were thanked for their contribution to maintaining ecological balance and preventing biodiversity loss, while students were recognized for their active participation. The session concluded with an important message: protecting nature and conserving biodiversity is the civic duty of every individual.
